My Uni Story.

Hi Guys I am starting this blog on here as UniGirl2014 very creative I know lol! This blog post is just gonna be a little bit about me and why I'm starting this blog and what I want to do on future blogs, so ...

I started University in mid September last year at a university just outside of  London studying Education and Social Science as I wasn't sure whether I wanted to go into the Police or Social Work and this could lead to either. That's the thing about university, your course can lead to so many lines of work and some people think they have to choose a subject which they want to go into, such as Geography which in some peoples eyes will only lead to being a geography teacher, but this is not the case. If you are not sure what you want to do and therefore have just picked a subject you're good at or liked then that is perfectly fine and doesn't limit your choices for a job in the future, many jobs will train you up and just like people to have a good degree (Usually a 2:1 or 1st).

So my degree is basically a mixture of Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology and mixing these all with education, It is a 3 year course and at the moment I think it's ok although, I don't want to go into the education sector so those modules are a bit boring. The truth is at Uni you're not going to like all your modules especially the compulsory ones, but they have to be done and once you've done them if they were not interesting and are not relevant to your future career then you don't really have to care for them anymore a bit like those compulsory subjects you have to do at GCSE, you just need a good grade to get to where you want to be later even if you do not like what you are learning. But if you have picked a subject you enjoy, like I have, it is very unlikely that you'll have many modules that you don't like (I only had one) and in the second and third years (or fourth if yours is four years) you get more choice on your modules which allows you the freedom to dodge those ones you may have hated if you were made to do them.

In this blog my aim is to
1. Give helpful advice about University life to those coming in September or even those already there.
2. Show people who read my vlogs creative ideas they can use in their uni rooms.
3. Give recipes that are student proof that i've either adapted or thought of myself.
4.Capture my journey as a University student.
5. Give myself something to focus on this summer rather than watching youtube all day (like I do a lot)

Well yeah I hope you guys enjoy my blogs and find them interesting, I will try and post at least twice a week even more if I am not working and thanks for reading :)
